— FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
- What health insurance do I need to apply for a visa in Spain?
- Most visas and residence permits require a policy with no copayments, no waiting periods, with repatriation included and annual payment. Sanitas Residents meets these requirements and issues a specific certificate to submit to the consulate or Immigration office.
- Can I take out the insurance from my country?
- Yes. The whole process is done online: quote, document submission, digital signature and certificate issuance.
- How long does it take for the policy to become active?
- Once all documentation is received and payment confirmed, the policy is usually issued within 24 to 48 business hours, along with the certificate for your procedure.
- Can I receive care in English?
- Yes. I advise you in English and Spanish, and Sanitas has English-speaking professionals and centres in Spain's major cities.
- Is there any cost for the advisory?
- No. My advisory is completely free. You only pay for your health insurance, at the same price as contracting directly.
- What documents do I need?
- For the quote I only need your date of birth and the postal code of your Spanish residence area.
